Spotlight on W.F. Burns Elementary!

Put Your School in the Spotlight!

Would you like to submit your school or someone that deserves the spotlight? Please email the webmaster with the following information:

• Your name & School
• Your District
• Your Regional Coordinator
• School or Person you'd like to spotlight
• Why are they deserving of the spotlight

Someone will contact you within a week or two to let you know the status of your submission. Based on entries, we will spotlight a different school or person every two weeks!

Background knowledge is a key to comprehension.  The Reading Leadership Team at W. F. Burns-Oak Hill knew that the more experiences the students have to build background knowledge, the more they can relate to content in the books they were reading.  In an effort to support the building background knowledge of the students, the Reading Leadership Team implemented school-based field trips.
